Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) strengthened its commitment to community safety and crime prevention through the signing of a Multipartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the 2026 Symposium held on September 28, 2026, at the University Gymnasium, ACCESS Campus, Tacurong City.
The Declaration of Mutual Commitment brought together SKSU, the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat, Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office 12, Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 12, Task Force Talakudong of the Philippine Army, 12th Regional Community Defense Group, 1202nd Community Defense Center, 603rd Infantry “Persuader” Brigade, and Tacurong City Police Station. The agreement formalized the partners’ shared commitment to support initiatives on crime prevention, community safety, anti-terrorism awareness, career orientation, and public service.
Representing SKSU, University President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA joined the partner agencies in the signing and declaration of mutual commitment. The activity highlighted the importance of stronger cooperation among educational institutions, government offices, law enforcement agencies, and the community in promoting a safer and more peaceful environment.
The symposium also featured orientations on ROTC Reserve Force development, BJMP career opportunities, PNP recruitment, crime prevention, and drug awareness.
