University President Atty. Torreña Meets Sultan Kudarat PNP Director to Address Student Concerns

Isulan, Sultan Kudarat — University President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, paid a courtesy visit to PCol Marvin Fontalva, Sultan Kudarat Provincial Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP), to discuss matters concerning the welfare, safety, and security of students.

During the meeting, President Torrena and PCol Fontalva exchanged insights on various issues affecting students, including campus safety, community concerns, and possible areas of collaboration between the university and the provincial police office. The discussion highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships to ensure a safe and supportive environment for learners. President Torrena emphasized the university’s commitment to protecting the interests of students and working closely with government agencies and stakeholders to address concerns that may impact their academic journey and overall well-being.

Meanwhile, PCol Fontalva expressed the PNP’s willingness to support initiatives that promote peace, security, and student protection. He assured the university of the provincial police office’s continued cooperation in addressing concerns involving students and in fostering a stronger relationship between the academe and law enforcement sector.
